Screensavers VR 2.0 and Evening Dreams
Screensavers VR: Evening Dreams is inspired by the immensely popular suite of screensavers, After Dark. Before computer graphics spread to every corner of film and TV, we let our imaginations soar with flying appliances. Evening Dreams features reinvented classics with new twists: Sub-Optic, ZAP, Terra Form, Orbz, the indisputable Gluten Gliders, and more.
Along with the release of Evening Dreams comes Screensavers VR 2.0, with significant new features and enhancements.
Evening Dreams celebrates the After Dark screensavers which made an unmistakable impression and was the number-one selling software in 1992. Screens across the world danced with whimsy.
"...You’re right...A screensaver might be the dumbest product idea ever! Nevertheless, give me 5 minutes and I guarantee you’ll agree this is the greatest product in the whole show." - excerpt from The Magic Experience of Screensavers by Bill Stewart.
Screensavers have become iconic--a cultural touchstone and a design phenomenon. With the release of Screensavers VR 2.0 and Evening Dreams, you’re invited to relax and explore this dedication to screensaver as game, artifact, and digital folk art. Screensavers VR 2.0 reinvents a 2D concept-- dismantling expectations of VR and rebuilding from the bottom up.
